Spring

Spring is a preparation for summer
It’s like a preheating oven
One day, not to long from now it will be ready and beep in an panic
While it’s getting ready flowers are popping up after already cooking in the winter
I guess that’s why they call it spring
All of the colors spring at you
Fields with freshly cut grass
The smells of nature float up and punch you in the face
You start sneezing in an continuous loop
You search for an allergy pill, but it’s nowhere to be seen
You frantically take deep breaths, trying to calm yourself with the beautiful weather
Storing it in your brain, for the frigid winter ahead
Although you come upon the thought of it changing to a sad rainy afternoon
That bubble bursts
A tingling sensation comes around your nose
It knocks on the door, waiting for you to open it
Once you finally do, it attacks
A cool breeze comes spinning past your face
And you slowly feel your feet lift of the dewy spring ground
