Goodbye

Goodbye to the people, the rooms, the walls,
Goodbye to the laughter, flooding the halls
Goodbye to my second home, goodbye to my heart,
But I know the world could never truly keep us apart
Off on my moms sabbatical, which I’m not happy about
When other kids will spend summer splayed on the couch,
I really don’t know where in the world I’ll be
Hiking a mountain, climbing a tree
And after that, I’ll be in middle school
Maybe one with a choir, maybe one with a pool
But why do I have to go, and not stay?
Why can’t I run and laugh the day away?
But when I step into the yard on graduation day,
I know I’ll be scared and excited and true,
ps 321,
I love you
In the future, students who read this,
Value your time, because your going to miss it.
This is the place I’ll visit in my dreams
This is the place where I learned about book themes,
I’m 321, 321 is me
And when I think of this paradise, I’m as happy can be.
