The World Watches

The world watches
As the glowing yellow falls
Soon black hugs the world

Through the windows of sight
Everyone sees the round mirror
Replacing that glowing yellow

Fumes of heat
Flicker off firey spheres
Flames erupt

The heat of thousands of flames
Burn the world
Lighting the flesh

The taste of glass
On tip of tongue
Like mouse bait

Sounds of darkness
Cover ears
As it travels around the world

The world’s still watching
As the black blanket surrounds
Covered in a mirror and spheres of light

The world watches
The specs of light floating above
Hoping one falls

Roman goddess of love
Soaring high
On;y seen at dawn

Seeing Hally
Shooting around
Spotting it every seventy-five

Comfort
From watching above
As we learn the wonders

Shooting down
People call them stars
Feeling unappreciated

We take life for granted down here
But still we wonder
What it’s like up there

The world’s still watching
As beauty of black and white
Cover our world

The world watches
The scenes of above
The world watches
