Not alone

I stare out the window to the lonely streets
As I wait I hear the cheers of people during the election
I feel the tears of those who has lost something to the cruel claws of
COVID
I can see the roads and streets lonely and isolated.
Waiting for someone to walk in them again
All as I sit in my empty room.
When I cry I feel thousands of people crying with me
When I cheer the hear the echos of a million people cheering
together
We are not alone.
As if we have fallen we are getting up
slowly
