I’m From Poem

I am from grassy turf and hard concrete.

I am from dirty shoes and messy tables.

I am from shouts of, “You have to be stronger there!”
And, “Come on, you can do this!”

I am from dog hair and sloppy licks.

I am from the surge of energy flowing through me.

I am from Mom’s bean soup and vegetable pie.

I am from hours at Prospect Park exploring nature.

I am from England, Cape Cod, and Upstate New York.

I am from nasty bruises and itchy bites.

I am from laughing with friends on FaceTime.

I am from Camp Becket, I am from all of the teachers and students who helped me in school,

I am from broken bones and the emergency room, and the doctors words of, “Bad news its broken, but it only will take a few months to heal.”

I am staring out of my window thinking of what I’m going to do next and always coming up with going to the park.

I am from staring at the stars, I am from family who love me very much.

I am from sad tears when friends move away. I am from huge tag and soccer games at the park.

I am from love!!!!
