Red-Tailed Hawk

I swoop and soar above the trees
So powerful, So bold
Even the jays admire what my body holds
Over fields I soar on the wing
I can see everything

If a mouse moves on the ground
I swoop to it without a sound
I eat a wide menu
From mice to pheasants
The others I eat
You best not know

That’s my diet
But what about the nest?
A pile of sticks and mud is fine
But work without a rest!

That’s me in that big tree
The glorious Red-Tailed Hawk
