When I Wake Up In The Middle Of The Night

My eyes flutter open and I am scared to see. Everything that once was simple has turned into a beast!

I put my foot on the ground, that was a big mistake
. I felt something furry curl around my feet.
 “I might not survive,”
I think in this dark cave of grief.
“How will I ever go back to sleep?”
I hide under the covers scared of what might come next
. And that’s when … Continue reading When I Wake Up In The Middle Of The Night

The Leaf’s Journey

The leaf starts on a young tree that grows day by day. The leaf grows up watching as children play. The leaf grows old and falls off the tree. The leaf travels from place to place by wind for years and years. It floats in the air as years go by and the leaf still travels and never stops. The leaf dries up in the sun, burning in the light, turning into ashes. Continue reading The Leaf’s Journey
