2020 started out good, but then became a flop quarantine started and 3 million people died of Covid 19 then the wildfires destroyed a lot of land and homes but we couldn’t stop there, many innocent Black people were killed just because of their race. COVID-19

It is all over the news, school has been shut down. I look outside with tears in my eyes, it is as quiet and as empty as the darkest, most silent night. Everything shuts down, no more going to stores, it is all online now. We all have to adapt to the computers. “Get ready for your Zoom conference with your teacher,” my mom calls. Sad But Aware

I am sad but aware of everything that is happening here and now. I miss the old times… I am sad, but aware. I used to love going in-person to school every day! Now it only happens 2-3 times a week. I am sad… but aware. Wearing masks, not traveling… I am sad, but aware. It has its upsides though as well. My cohort in school, they are more than good friends, they are a second family!
