Stepping into the place,
Seeing children my age,
Doing flips and turns and twists on the bars,
Doing cartwheels off the beam,
And front tucks off the vault,
Jumping and flipping and twisting on the floor,
Oh, I see so much more,
Hearing noises like “hey coach can I get some water?”
And “oh, that felt good,”
Just wishing I was one of them,
Doing gymnastics feels good.
