When I look out in green nature
I see a red cardinal
with a red fiery stop sign wing
I see a blue jay
with a blue ocean water wing
I see a gold finch
with a yellow bee wing
I see a raven
with a black night sky wing
I see a woodpecker
with a “black and white movie” wing
I see a starling
with a sunlit shiny black wing
I see a snowy owl
with a cold windy paper wing
Then they fly south
and come back next year!
