I’m From Poem

I’m from the beach, the sun, clear water. The
last state, shaved ice on a hot day. I’m from
the middle of the Pacific Ocean, beaches everywhere
you look. The place to come to surf, the place you
need a popsicle or ice cream every day.

I’m from a family cake mannar, jam, pastaleda in the
cake. I’m from different flavors on the inside, ham, cheese,
beef, chicken, olives and eggs. I’m from a lot of salty bread
in a knot yum and salty, in their hometown Germany.

I’m from my Tia Eve always making me better, working
at the hospital keeping people alive. Luca, my sister, my
best friend. Elsa riding with me on my scooter down a bumpy
block. Me and my sister always playing, she’s younger, so I
can’t play older stuff.

I’m from “you’re crazy,” or “my little baby” and can’t forget “my
baby you’re so big now” on my dad’s side. “Bobo” or “Go
to bed” and love this “brush your teeth” from my mom’s
side and papa’s side.
